Lausanne: Chalet Suisse Restaurant

Chalet Suisse is a very famous and important restaurant for its fondue. The flavour of the restaurant is unique as it is outside the city limits in an wooded area. The bell shaped shades give warmth to the interiors.

Lausanne Cityscape: Golden Lights

These Lausanne buildings look majestic in the evening light. Who lives in these places or works?
I would never come to know.

Evening Lights of Lausanne

I would never really know how Lausanne would look in daylight. The evening automatically makes everything magical. Even familiar things look enticing. These are two of my favourite images of Lausanne.

Lausanne By Night

Lausanne is a beautiful city in Switzerland, by the Lake Geneva or Lac Léman. Being the head quarters of International Olympic Committee, the presence of the Olympic movement could be seen in many buildings. A park is dedicated to the theme. Though I have stayed for four days in the city, I have never seen it in daylight. All the photographs are taken at night or early morning. the City is French speaking and is on the border of France. Lausanne is the capital of the canton of Vaud.

Cottages in Bern

Why do we get enamoured of the cottages much more than palaces or large buildings? perhaps it has some thing to do with our origins or with simplicity itself. These photographs are snapped from a high rise in Bern

The Clock Towers of Bern

On a rainy day, this is quintessential Bern, Clock towers at the either end of the road. Through the road runs the tram line and the granite paved road gives the impression of older times. Some exclusive shops are there on either side of the road.
